Abigail Rothery was born in West Sussex, UK in 1995. Emigrating to and subsequently growing up in Hobart, Australia circa 2005, she identifies as a Tasmanian artist with dual British/Australian nationality.

Abigail Rothery’s work forms an ongoing visual investigation into human experience of identity, memory and place. Her work is formulated based on photographs and constructed scenes pertaining to both personal and vicarious visual experiences. She uses distinct dualities and textures through a combination of drawing, painting, printmaking and collage techniques that continue to be developed and expanded upon in the studio (currently @salamancaartscentre).

A recent graduate from the School of Creative Arts in Hobart, Abigail is making new work for sale and exhibition both in Australia and overseas.
